Union of Sentient Robots

The HF does not mass produce them - they might risk an AI uprising. However, families can request new Sentient Robots to be built for them, should they want one. The robot will usually embrace whatever culture they are built into, but any that find themselves outside of any family can move to this Union, with its own culture.
The Union of Sentient Robots governs those robots that have not been built to be incorporated into organic families, and those for mechanical families. It may also govern some organic species in some rare and strange cases, solidifying its ties with its creators. The Union of Sentient Robots is an oligarchy type star nation, where a few members of the 'Union Council' can make any large scale political decisions. Within the council, though, every individual has a roughly equal political power except for a leader, currently Aurora, who is slightly more powerful and breaks ties in votes. Some seats are typically reserved for some organics, who sometimes perform diplomacy with the rest of the HF. Military organizing is left as a task for sentient robots themselves for obvious reasons, but at one point there was a Yunkad on the council, who managed to further improve organization by combining the flexibility of an organic brain with the speed and raw efficiency of a mechanical one.
As with any other star nation of the HF, organics under the Union are still given a pretty good life with all their basic needs fulfilled. It was designed to handle a much larger robot population, but have made sure to provide organics with their needs, which at tomes can prove to be a heavy logistical constraint, but this has never caused great crises. Even the Union recognises they are but a small part in the defence of the Federation, and without the organics, they will not hold to combined Cypher Dominion, HEX Mainframe, Grand Artanat Empire and Xalarin Council invasions.
