Ayunis (ay-you-nis)
Ayunis is the King of the Gods in the Pantheon of Heaven. He was born of the actions of great cosmic dragons moving through the void. He rose up and slew his creators, claiming all their creation as his own.
From their remains he fashioned a wife, Gaeta the All Mother, and sired the entire Pantheon of Heaven.
Divine Domains
God of sky, storm and lightning. King of heaven and ruler of all the other gods and goddesses. Conquered creation from a predecessor pantheon of elemental dragon gods that actually created the universe.
Holidays
As the Father of the Pantheon, Ayunis has his largest feast during the New Year season, starting on January 1 and ending at midnight on January 3. These three days are a special holiday for adherents, celebrated with food, drink, dancing and games. It is a particuarly popular time to hold tournaments, as the winter is typically not an active campaign season for warriors and knights, even in the southern regions of Aria where the weather tends to be warmer and dried during the winter.
Ayunis is also celebrated during the harvest and hunt season, but on a smaller scale. Typically, the last day of summer is a feast day for Ayunis, beginning the harvest time and the season of plenty.
