Sedrim am Ohnni

Sedrim am Ohnni was the second son of King Mellar am Ohnni of the Kingdom of Imesse. He formented and led a rebellion against his brother, King Borim am Ohnni.   When Mellar am Ohnni died, his two sons, Borim and Sedrim had a violent falling out that resulted in Sedrim striking Borim in the face. Sedrim was driven from the castle at Northridge and fled to the south. He managed to rally the support of several noble families there and began an organized revolt against his brother's reign in the spring of 52 AF.   Forces loyal to Borim met with setback after setback that summer, losing three major battles. By the winter season, Sedrim's forces have grown to number more than 18,000 and had crossed the Caldar River into the north. Borim spends the winter at Northridge, and names Jonir am Maxalli as his new military commander.   The spring of 53 AF sees the rebel forces of Sedrim surround the city of Northridge, and the seige lasts all summer. By August, Jonir is desperate to get Borim out of the castle and away from Northridge. A ferocious storm sweeps through the region, halting rebel patrols and pickets and allowing a significant force of loyalists to escape Northridge and march to the east. Sedrim takes the castle and has himself crowned King of Imesse. Fighting continues well into the winter, but no significant gains are made on either side.   In February of 54 AF, Sedrim is found murdered in his bed, his throat cut so deeply his head is nearly severed. Rebel forces abandon Northridge and attempt to reach the Caldar River to cross back into the south, but are cut off and surrounded by Borim's army just north of Kington on the Kings River. While trying to nagotiate a surrender, a claim is made that Sedrim's infant son is the rightful King of Imesse. Borim breaks off negotiations, attacks the rebel camps and crushes the remains of his brother's army is a ringing defeat. Sedrim's son is taken into the King's custody and more than 2,000 rebels are put to the sword.
