The Gods of Old

Only the known Gods of Old are listed here - many others who's name, domains and stories have been lost to time existed before the The Modern Gods rose to power. Some of these Gods may still be worshiped in some form, or exist as faint embers of energy, looking for a chance to return to the world for good, or terrible, purposes.

Nerull

The old god of death, darkness, murder and the underworld
He was known as the Reaper, the Foe of All Good, the Hater of Life, and the Bringer of Darkness. The stories tell that he was ‘killed’ in his battle with Makromant; the Raven Queen then stepped into his void. Some seek to return him to power, believing the Raven Queen “stole” his position in the Modern Pantheon. Still worshiped by those seeking darkness, murder, or to return the dead from the underworld.

Käg

The goddess of BAMF
An oddity in the grand scheme of things, Käg is a deity not of an aspect of life, or an emotion. But is instead the Goddess of the order of BAMF. If the order began first, or she created the order is lost to the sands of time, as is the order to the lands of Thunderia. Wiped from the land sometime since the rise of the current royal family, the worshipers of Käg are now few are far between within Thunderia. The stories tell that her worshipers are still strong overseas; this may be why her powers still exist within Thunderia.

Lliira

Goddess of Joy
Known as Our Lady of Joy, responsible for the sphere of joy and for the domains of chaos, charm, family, good and travel. Priests and priestesses of Lliira, called "Joydancers; were the apple of her eye. They were entrusted with leadership and tasked as plan-makers of festivals. Rubies and sapphires were sacred to Lliira and any seen wearing them were blessed by passing clergy. The Lady of Joy abhorred violence at celebrations, and would withhold her blessing from any celebration marred by it. The only weapons drawn at a festival must be ceremonial and never lead to bloodshed.

Eldath

Goddess of Peace
Also known as The Green Goddess or Mother Guardian of Groves, is a lake spirit who acts as the guardian of groves and watersheds, her presence is felt wherever there is calm. She is a pacifist who avoids hostile action, even if threatened.

Umberlee

Umberlee

Goddess of the Sea
Most often worshiped by sailors or people traveling by sea, mostly out of fear. She controlled the harshness of the sea while reveling in her own power and is not hesitant to drown people. Travelers by sea were sure to pay their tribute to her, and the preaching’s of her clerics were built upon the terrible fate that would befall any who did not bring a sacrifice. Clerics were available at temples who, for a price, would travel with sailors to ensure no harm was inflicted. Her destructive powers were subsumed by Talos following the great uprising. She is a sworn rival of Selûne and would like nothing more than to replace her.
