Kogabkin Village

Frostdunes Steppe Region

An isolated fishing village that works the two largest lakes and primary river of the Frostdunes Steppe. The villagers are not part of any of the clans, but instead are a odd band of outcasts who prefer to take their chances in the extreme cold than deal with the rest of civilization. Most are skilled tradesfolk, who are more than capable. Feeding and outfitting mining expeditions heading up to the Chasm makes up the majoirty Kogabkin's surprisingly robust economy.

Industry & Trade

Every resident of Kogabkin (the Koga) has a trade, even the landowners, and everybody works. The Koga boast the best fishers, craftsfolks, and tradesfolk this side of the highlands.
Fishing
Kogabkin fishes the two largest lakes, and primary river of the Frostdunes Steppe. They are extremely proficient and produce enough fish every season to feed themselves, their local taverns and outfitters, and still have enough left to take south and trade.
Outfitters
Kogabkin is the only known settlement between the highlands and the Arnmeuse Chasm. It is the safest place to stop for shelter, supplies, and rest for mining expeditionary parties. If you are going to make a career of ice mining, you will get to know the Koga very well.

Guilds and Factions

The Koga are a fiercely independent people. They tolerate visiting members of southern guilds, but will not allow them to establish offices or even take up residence in the village.
