Magic

Manipulation of The Lync to produce results is known as Magic. All creatures on Tieryon, sentient or not, possess the ability to manipulate or use the energy and connection of the Lync. Magic is categorized in several categories, known as Schools. Spells, which are magical techniques that produce a specific result, are typically placed in one magic school as an identifier.

Primal School

The primal school of magic contains basic magics used by beginner magic users or animals. It consists of simple spells that do not take much skill to produce, such as a simple knockback spell for protection, mild warming spells and slight manipulation of light.

Floral School

The difficulty of spells within the schools beyond the primary school vary from basic to intricate. The floral school of magic is all magic that concerns flora (and fungi.) These spells can be quite simple, such as a slight growing spell. However, some spells require more skill, such as the use of magic to manipulate the magic used by flora or to create new floral species,

Familiar School

The familiar school includes all magics that concern peoples or animals. As with the floral school, some spells are relative simple, such as slight alterations to appearance. More practiced magic users can influence others, grant the temporary ability to fly or cause physical harm to others.

Refined School

Not all spells fit in the first three categories. The refind school of magic contains magics that either affect objects (non-living,) or do not fit into the other categories. An example is the enchantment of objects. While the Lync does not naturally flow into non-living object, exprienced magic wielders can manipulate it to enchant objects.
