The Lync

A mysterious force connects all creatures and flora on Tieryon. This force is referred to by the common folk as the Lync. While some never learn to direct the flow of the Lync, others may spend years of their lives learning to manipulate the Lync and perform Magic.

History

There are mentions of the Lync as early as the first writings found on Tieryon. Ancient texts exist, describing methods used to manipulate the Lync and the use of magic. It has always been an important part of the culture through the ages.

The Lync and Geography

Many locations around the world of Tieryon are influenced by the Lync force that penetrates the land. The magic created by the Lync can produce phenomenom such as defying typical physics or natural portals, amongst other events.

Modern Use

In recent years, magic is taught on a very basic level to those who attend public and private schools in all of the seven states of Tieryon. Students may take additional courses either in school or as extracurricular activities in most places. Even with early introduction to magic and Lync manipulation, it still takes dedication to develop skills.
