Tomb of Sylver
The Tomb of Sylver is a sacred place in the Drakhian Empire. It was built by Rhogar, some time after the battle with Zargon. Sylver was lost during the battle, and it took a toll on Rhogar, as Sylver had been his closest friend since coming to Tio Luma. Built in a small cluster of mountainous hills, a few days ride south of the city that he and Sylver had built together, it rises above the Drakhian Plains overlooking miles of land. Rhogar quarried the stone that was used for the building directly from these mountains, building a vast labyrinth of cave networks underneath. Rhogar spent years building this tomb, not accepting any help from others. As he built it, his powerful magics settled into the stones of the tomb and the cave network below it. The tomb itself was a veritable fortress, almost castle like in design. Rhogar was not sure why he built it this way, but something in him knew that this place would become the source of a pilgrimage, and built it in such a way that it could house almost a full army's worth of people. At the top, he carved a statue of Sylver, and in the base, he placed her body, with her sword with it. At the back of this chamber, is a large fifteen foot tall gleaming marble door. This door leads to the entrance of the Labyrinth below.
After building the monument, Rhogar paid his last respects, and left never to return to this location. It was some years later that the first people who would discover this castle, some of whom did not wish to pay respects. There was one who came to the place, though nothing is really known about who this figure was. He, or she, came when there was no one else in the castle, and searched it with magic. They discovered the hidden tomb, and the sword with in. Using magic, they broke through the seal, and stole the sword. No one knows why they did this, but the sword would resurface some year later, in the hands of Eliza.
The Labyrinth that Rhogar built is steeped in a magical force, that no one quite has been able to figure out. There are no true creatures down in the depths, all that are found below are conjured by the Labyrinth itself. The creatures that are summoned are specific to the individuals who enter the cave system. It will drudge up the biggest fears, or important creatures to the adventures who entered, and force them to face their deeper fears and desires. It is meant to test the strong, weeding out the weak, but also to teach a lesson, that all fears must be faced, and not all desires are meant to be achieved. This is the place that many come to to complete their Dumvast.
There is a standing guard that lives here full time. They are considered one of the more elite groups in the Drakhian Military. To join is a great honor, and those who are chosen, must continue to prove that they are among the top. Most would think that guarding a temple would be a cushy assignment, but in this case it is the exact opposite. The guard here trained daily to remain in peak condition.
