Rhogar

Time Before the New Dawn

Rhogar was not originally of Tio Luma. Like the rest of the New Dawn, he was called to this world by Theo. Rhogar grew up in a secluded village at the south end of a continent in the world known as Golarian. His village was the only dragonborn village on the continent, and it was watched over by a benevolent dragon. One day, the dragon disappeared, and was not heard from again. For awhile, there was quite a bit of commotion, but after a few years, life generally got back to normal. Rhogar however, always wished to find out the mystery behind the disappearance. After a near by volcano erupted, destroying the village and forcing the survivors to relocate to a near by elven city. Rhogar however, decided to strike out on his own, heading north.   Rhogar traveled for some time, before he reached a capital near the center of the continent. Here, running low on money, he gets roped into a job by a very curious Gnome, and they party up with a Kenku and an Aasamir. They begin traveling together, soon learning of an evil force that is beginning to darken the land. A cult of Rovugog was attempting to release him into the world. Rhogar and his new friends traveled the land, doing what they could to prevent the chaos that the cult was sowing. After losing a fight, causing a Tarasque to be released, destroying the old capital of the Dwarvan nation, they learned that they must pass a trial set by the gods, which would allow them to begin a path to becoming greater beings.   After succeeding in this test and receiving a necklace from which they could cast Wish three times, they returned to what was called the Uncharted Forest, from which no one ever returned. They entered the forest, and found an ancient tower at its center. They learned that this tower was the point in which the Gods of the land had first landed after the initial creation of the world. Here they found the leader of the Cult of Rovugog, a lich, who had also been the one to hire them on their initial quest. They fought hard, but in the ensuing fight, Rhogar was struck down by a powerful spell. In his last seconds, Rhogar attempted to use the wish necklace to heal himself. However, lich at this point revels that he had pick pocketed the wish necklace, and used it to escape, causing the tower to begin to collapse, just as Rhogar passes to the void.   The Aasamir, not one to lose a friend, calls upon the Monkey King, guardian of the woods and Fae realms, to heal Rhogar. They make a deal, in which the Aasamir enters the service of the Monkey King, and bringing Rhogar back to life. The group sets off in haste to chase down the lich back to the Capital, where they had a final showdown. They killed his body and sealed his Phylactery, trapping him for all time. The group went on to have many other adventures, eventually splitting and going their separate ways.

Entrance to Tio Luma

5 heroes were called into a small decrepit house by a small figure. He introduces himself as Theo. Theo called these heroes to his world to help him kill the second moon that has appeared over Tio Luma. He asks for their aid in defeating Atrophal the undead god. Rhogar the Mighty, Hope , Rowena , and Elizabeth, and Sylver . The party will be interrupted from Theo’s lecture on events as the ground shakes as a boom is heard outside. The party will rush outside as they are confronted by two undead ogres. The party will start slaying the creatures but they will keep reviving. Theo will offer to hold them off explaining there is a sword called Eternity that can slay Atrophal. The party runs off towards the forest heading the way Theo explained. As they follow the trail they arrive at a small forest trail as a dragon named Starlight arrives. Hope reveals that Starlight is her traveling companion, and she is welcomed to the group. The party follows along coming to a small clearing, where they meet some survivors from the town. The party only gets to talk to them for a short time before the forest is lit aflame by undead demons. The villagers run off as the party finds a sewer hatch taking an old man and his granddaughter with them into the sewers. The party finds carcasses laid around the sewers with random chests that were full of food and clothes. They follow the sewers and come to an illusionary wall. From the wall being disrupted they find mind flayers who point them along wishing them luck to save their world.   As the party emerges from the sewer they find the last of the dragons conversing among themselves about entering eternity's lair. Rhogar enters and convinces the dragons to survive and while the party enters the cavern. As the dragons leave the party descends into the lair. They find a large creature guardian and island in a crystal blue lake. The party only has a moment to breathe before the creature charges them. As the party prepares for battle the creature creates storms and tsunamis as the Rhogar falls in battle. The party was able to heal him and bring him back as Sylver claimed her new sword. The party heals and soon leaves the lair. As they leave they find Theo waiting outside the cave with a dark necronomicon that he is using to make a spell circle on the ground. He alerts the party that they will be going to the moon. He will guard the entrance and make sure no parts of Atrophal fall to earth. The party agrees and leaves Starlight dragon to help him. The party arrives on Atrophal as the planet reacts to their presence summoning its avatar to fight them. The battle is intense with Sylver and Rhogar falling but are saved as a flash of light from earth revives their hp and brings them back into the fight. But the party wins, they journey down into the planet's core. They find atrophals heart. The heart whimpers like a child crying and sniffling as the party drives the sword into atrophal as a child cries can be heard as the chamber shakes and convulses. The party is pulled from the room back to the portal where a dead theo is guarded by starlight. The Portal that pulled them to this world appears beckoning home, however the party chooses to stay becoming this world's new champions.

The Fall

The kingdom of Cervo‌ Empire has been born as the crown prince Elijah‌ is now crowned but on the day of his coronation a strange phenomenon appears. Snow like pollen falls upon the earth giving everyone healing like properties as the coronation time is kept. The New Dawn‌ stand proud watching the new kingdom born from the survivors of atrophal. Reports starting flooding in of a comet that has trailed across the sky and as it gets closer the power of the healing grows. The party is pulled into a new realm. The gods of the world wait there and explain the coming threat of Ragnorra‌ an entity born from life that twists and corrupts what it heals. It was drawn by Atrophas decay and they are the last line to stop it. The Magi of Cervo foretold doom if this is not stopped so heroes gather together to find truth. Magi meets with them saying he will send them to council of dragons and nine hells to discover the threat there facing. As he teleports them to hell they fight there way through the swarm meeting the rulers of the nine hells during a meeting where they learn the name of there threat Ragnorra. They are advised that the sword Sylver carries needs to be forged with dragons fire of primordial flame. Asmodeus‌_ says they are on there own to gain that flame. The party arrive back in the Magi’s library where he says he knows where to gain such a flame but to hurry tumors have been growing on anyone that the snow has contacted with. The party understand and Magi teleports them to a snowy mountain where they journey through and meet the council of dragons. The dragons advised them of coming threat and that Tiamat‌ and Bahamut ‌ are in heated argument near peak and they can provide the fire. The elder Copper Dragon senses a kindred spirit in Rhogar and offers Rhogar chance to reincarnate into a dragon after death. Rhogar takes it and heads towards the peak. The party stand there ground and talk to the gods. Balpohmet impressed with there courage forges the blade with his fire and the party head back to face Ragnorra. The party head into the crater Ragnorra created meeting the sac of flesh and chasing it its den. There they fought it as Sylver stabbed her sword into Ragnorras heart as Ragnorra was sealed forever. Rowena used her magic to seal the land where Ragnorra forever and creating memory wipe around it so no one could ever go in and free her. From there gate they meet a special entity who introduces himself as the one above all or the watcher. The party will be given wishes. Hope wishes for place safe for all tieflings. The Cervo kingdom stands but Geralt‌ the kings advisor says the king has died and takes the throne. The rest of the party dissatisfied with his new rule leave to aid world and rebuild it once more.

After the Fall

After the battle with Ragnorra, the New Dawn party split up. Rhogar and Sylvar decided to travel together. Their first stop is to travel back to where the party had encountered the dragon gods. Not much is known about this journey, but what is known is that they came away from this stronger, and with Rhogar having become a champion of Bahamut. Together they continued to travel, rescuing those they found from injustice, slowly gathering a small following of Dragonborns, Orcs, Humans, and Goliaths. They eventually settled in the northern plains, just north of the magical seal around Ragnorra. Here, with their followers, they began building the town that would grow into the capital of the Drakhian Empire. They attracted the strongest fighters in the land, and made a place where it did not matter what your race was, as long as your were strong enough to prove yourself. Together, the two made sure that there was plenty of room to grow for the next few centuries. They jointly ruled the area, training handpicked disciples, teaching them their own fighting techniques and making sure that when they left, there would be people who were strong enough to take on the mantle of the leader.

The Threat of Zargon

Retirement

After the battle with Zargon, and the loss of his closest friend Sylver, Rhogar decided to hang up his axe and officially retire from adventuring and ruling. With sadness heavy in his heart, he said goodbye to the rest of the New Dawn for the last time. First, he traveled to a small pocket of hills in the southern end of the plains of the Empire. Here, he labored for several years to create the Tomb of Sylver. Here he laid to rest the famed Vorpal Sword of Sylver. He also built underneath the tomb a large Labyrinth, which he imbued his own magic in it. This Labyrinth he had built as one of the ways for young to complete their Dumvast. He then left, wandering the land for some time, before coming upon an area in the mountains that guards the Forgotten Woods, and over looked the Great Southern Lake. Here, he found an area of what he considered extreme beauty. It also happened to be the entrance to one of Bahamut's trials, which is what drew him to the area in the first place. Rhogar would spend the next decade building by had a large keep here, as well as some terraced areas to grow food. It was here that he would spend the remainder of his days, until one of his pupils, Grenur Rogan, found him. Rhogar would once more take up his massive battle axe, and fight one last time. The battle raged for the better part of three days, during which a near by mountain's peak had a chunk taken out of it, leaving it looking like a jagged tooth. In the end however, Rhogar would be slain.

Legacy of Rhogar

Rhogar's Legacy would live on however. His axe would be the symbol of the rightful ruler of the Drakhian Empire, and as promised by the Elder Bronze dragon, Rhogar was reborn as a true dragon. He was changed in his rebirth however, and while he would watch the land he had strived to build with interest, he did not interfere. The Keep Rhogar had built would go abandoned for most of the centuries, and eventually would fall under the domain of the Gulok Republic. Rhogar's name would also live on, being a legend among the Drakhian Empire, and what all dragonborns in the empire strived to be. Sylver and Rhogar did have a child together at one point, and two primary lines of the family would come out, and Owlwood line and the Rhoganir Line. Both families, being descendants of the founders were held to high standards in the Drakhian empire, and quite a few of them found themselves to be rulers throughout the centuries.
