Duncan Wellwood

Duncan Wellwood is a minor member of the nobility. During a short stint of his "misspent youth", he served as a courier for various groups in Collegeton, and may have made a few questionable alliances. He emerged from that time a firm friend of King Liam, and is rumored to have accompanied the King up to Hozenstadt Estate and been present for the rite of ascension. Duncan was spotted on the platform when the king gave his oath in front of the nobility.
He lived in Collegeton with his wife, Alyssa Wellwood for the first several years of Liam's reign.
During the Invasions, Alyssa died and Duncan retreated to his family estates outside of the Tanzerwald. Despite having retired from his more public life he kept while in Collegeton, Duncan is still considered the source for what is going on in all areas of Aloria.

Duncan Wellwood serves the purser of King Liam.
He lives near a small town named for his family, Wellwood. The town of Wellwood is near the edge of the elven lands, but is far enough away that the city is not walled. There is a low berm surrounding the city of Wellwood that has a magical feel to it as you enter it. It’s been theorized the area is enchanted to protect against unknown dangers.

The Wellwood estates lie about 6 miles East of town. The house is surrounded by a large stone wall, and it is an obviously fortified townhouse.

The Wellwood estates are well known for their extensive libraries, and have several lesser known volumes covering the creation of Tir Na Macalla, and the surrounding lore. It is rumored the current lord of Wellwood continues to add to the library there, and may have friendships with elves, but that is probably only rumors.
