Boughs-Of-Orange

Boughs-Of-Orange, also known as "Boughs" to her friends, was born to the Deep Forest tribe of Akata. As a woman among this tribe her choice of role in the tribe was to be a scout, warrior, hunter, or builder, although due to the extremely isolated nature of the Deep Forest tribes her preffered path of a warrior was unfeasible, as her tribe had not gone to war for at least three generation before she was born. Despite this she joined the scout corps and spent most of her time training with the ancient weapons of her people, climbing knives, bone claws, and bows. She favored an Akata bow, known to other people on Galroria as 'Siege Bows', they are massive longbows only fit for the nine foot tall Akata and fire bolts more akin to a ballista bolt than a regular arrow.
Boughs spent the first five years of her adulthood mostly outside of the village of her birth, she traversed the forests and trails of Galroria with the trading caravans she led to her isolated villages in a way to bring the goods of the outside world to her tribes. She loved the thrill of exploration, and ended up using her combat training in joining a mercenary group where the more nature loving Akata are never seen. She made a name for herself as a great warrior although when her family called upon her she travelled back to the Deep Forest.
When she arrived she discovered that her people had heard of her mercenary ways and while initially were shocked they saw this as an opportunity to train a new warrior caste that hadn't been seen since three generation prior, as recently the forest seems to be sending large hostile insects against the village. Boughs was overjoyed to hear that the village had found a use for her, but it was undercut by the fact that they expected her to have children.
Childbearing was almost always lethal to the Akata as their large clutches of children tend to be too much for their bodies to bear, combined with a lack of knowledge on healing magic, makes it a life sentence. She agreed to train a new generation of warriors and although she said she would be ready to bear children soon she held severe doubts about it. She took a nest mate who was one of the villages great chroniclers, he would become a great love of hers and would also be the one to inform her of a new group of travelers to arrived in the village.
The Twilight Guardian's arrival in the Akata village was incredibly shocking to many of them, as humanoids of their shape are an incredibly rare sight on Galroria. When her nest mate informed her of an ancient Akata legend of Sky-People, Boughs went out to search down their sky steed, finding their wasp ship while they rested their first night in the Akata village. She scouted around the entire ship, going unseen by its drake guardians before returning to her village to rest. By the time she woke back up The Guardian was gone, and she had to wait near two weeks for its return.
Unknown to her nest mate Boughs had made plans to leave the village with The Twilight Guardians, and upon her return she offered her services to them, starting her journey across the stars to where she would see new planets from those amongst Wayspace and beyond.
