Dinterium

Dinterium is an incredibly rare resource on Tirestir, and the most common deposits of the metal are found in the nation of Dinte, also where the nation gets its name. Dinterium is a very rare metal on the planet of Tirestir, with the country of Dinte being the exception. Due to this rarity the nation of Dinte controls the economy surrounding this rare resource, and thus regulates how much can be sold to the rest of the world. Dinterium has the interesting properties of dampening or completely nullifying magic up to a certain strength, and can also cause extreme pain to species with innate magic, or people who can wield magic either by nature or through learning. This material is commonly made into cuffs, placed into potions in a dust form, and inlaid onto armor to provide their wearers resistance to magic. In it's cuff form it can usually negate the magic of the cuffed individual.

Dinterium is found deep under the earth, typically away from mountain ranges. It is found in an ore state and typically in large deposits, large amounts of dinterium are found at once, then it is very rare to find it in a large radius. Although small chunks of dinterium can be found through methods such as panning, it typically points to a large singular deposit nearby.
