Kenpei Archipeligo

The Kenpei Archipeligo is a large collection of small islands and two large islands. They are known to be primarily halflings and although they have a thriving and vibrant culture, they have strict xenophobic policies historically. They have traditionally never let any other race settle in their lands however after a recent war with the Kender ruled island to the south, they have begun to integrate new people into their culture and traditions, however these outsider citizens are still looked down on unless they can perfectly replicate the language and culture of the Kenpei Halflings.
They claim to be ruled over by a Dragon King and Queen who take halfling forms to interact with their subjects, but are not afraid to rain death down upon their enemies as the true dragons they are. Although some believe this is simply propaganda by the ruling class of Kenpei there may be some truth to these rumors.

Scalefin Snapper

The Scalefin Snapper is a peculiar aquatic creature found in the waters surrounding the Kenpei Archipelago. Resembling a combination of a fish and a turtle, it possesses a robust shell adorned with intricate patterns and shimmering scales. The Scalefin Snapper is known for its sharp teeth and powerful jaw, capable of delivering a snapping bite that can break through even the toughest armor. Despite its aggressive nature, some Kenpei Halflings have developed a unique bond with these creatures, training and utilizing them as loyal aquatic mounts and guardians. The Scalefin Snapper's ability to navigate through the archipelago's intricate waterways with remarkable agility and speed has made it a prized companion and defender of the Kenpei people.
Mistshade Bamboo
The Mistshade Bamboo is a resilient plant species found across the Kenpei Archipelago. Its distinguishing feature is its tall, slender stalks that grow in dense thickets, reaching heights far beyond regular bamboo. The bamboo stalks have a bluish-green hue, and their leaves are adorned with a delicate silver shimmer. What sets the Mistshade Bamboo apart is its ability to generate a faint mist that envelops the surrounding area. This natural mist provides a cooling effect, protecting the plants and creatures of the archipelago from the intense tropical heat. The Kenpei Halflings have harnessed the mist's properties for their own benefit, utilizing the Mistshade Bamboo in the construction of their dwellings and crafting tools. The bamboo's unique misty aura adds an ethereal ambiance to their settlements and helps regulate the temperature in their homes, providing a comfortable and soothing environment amidst the tropical climate.

Natural Resources

While poor in terrestrial natural resources such as iron and copper, the Kenpei archipelago is known for its unique weapon-smiths as well as its prosperous fishing industries. They have forests enough to build their settlements.
