Duke

Dukes are members of the nobility, ranking just below Princes and direct members of the royal family, and just above Marquess. As upper nobility, dukes in Tiriande are directly involved in the government of the city and, prior to the Vent, functioned as governors for the outer districts and other settlements of the kingdom, such as Little Semberholme. The female form is called Duchess. Non-binary people holding this rank usually default to Duke.
