Orcish Diet
The Orcish diet is simple. Fiber and meat.
History
Orcs are said to have the strongest acid in their stomach of all humanoids after Goblins. Goblins and Orcs are distant cousins, so this makes sense. While Goblins can digest items that are not food, Orcs can not. Orcs can, however, eat all sorts of meat, cooked or uncooked, preserved or rotten, without getting sick. Raro the Lore Master writes that the Orc's diet is an evolutionary benefit as it allows the roving Orcs to scavenge and take minimal efforts to preserve food.
Due to the fact that Orcs are able to eat all sorts of meats without preparing them, Orcs do not tend to differentiate between meats. Pig, cow, horse or dog are simply referred to as 'meat.' This would be alarming to an outsider dining with a tribe of Orcs.
Orc's are not picky with their meat at all. There has been many cases of Orcs eating any creatures, including other humanoids. There is a story of an Orc Tribe in the far east that died after they consumed the flesh of a medusa. Not from illness, but various internal organs were solidified as stone.
Individual Orcs do have their preference in their meat. Some Orcs prefer fatty meats like cow, pig or human. Others prefer lean meats like chicken, horse or human. Some tribes traditionally eat their meat raw, the bloodier the better. Others yet burn their food to a crisp. The way an Orc tribe prepares their mean can depend on what is available to them, their tribes history or traditions and superstitions. An Orc tribe may eat their fatty meats raw because it helps them put on weight and survive the harsh cold, with another Orc tribe may eat their dinosaur meat medium rare as a show of their hunting and cooking skills.
