Orcish Home
Purpose / Function
An Orcs's home is a place for the Orc to store their goods, weapons and trophies, raise their family and sleep. An Orc hates being stationary for too long, so it is usually simply a place to leave their stuff. An Orc's home is seldom locked or trapped in any way, as Orcs do not expect to be stolen from. It is widely regarded that resorting to theft from another Orc is an act of cowardice.
Design
An Orc's home is usually a single room. If several Orcs inhabit the same building, it is still a single room. The only way to determine the amount of Orcs living in a structure is by the piles of furs on the ground where the Orc would sleep.
If the Orc's Home is a previously built structure by another culture, the Orc inhabitant will tend to redecorate by putting up furs and trophies or making holes in walls to make all routes direct.
Architecture
A typical Orc's home is a small tent like structure made from sticks and furs of animals they have hunted. It is designed to be dismantled and moved with the Orc when the tribe wanders, but sturdy enough to stay in one place for an extended period of time. The hut itself is usually made from animal furs and bones, so it is a standing testament to the Orc's status. The larger the hut, the more seasoned the inhabitant.
If a tribe moves into ruins or take over a town, the Orcs will fight over who gets what place to stay. The victor will tend to choose the larger structure, so once again, the living arrangements of the Orc will represent their status. The Chieftain of a tribe always stays in the building of their choice. If a Chieftain would allow for another Orc to stay in a superior building, it would be an egregious insult to the Orc, as Orcs look down on charity. The Orcish Language does not have a word for "Thank you"
