Ryuji Hamato
Appearance
Ryuji is a young Japanese teenager with notably long, messy black hair he keeps in a ponytail. Notably, Ryuji looks very similar to Leonardo's human disguise, to the point that even Ryuji points out how they could be twins. Most of the time, Ryuji dresses in very casual, modern clothes, like a graphic t-shirts and jeans. He has a special hakama he wears when he trains or spars with someone.Personality
Ryuji is young and cocky. He is still training in ninjutsu and of all of the younger kids, is the most excited to become a guardian for the Yokai Realm. He often dreams of being a heroic ninja, even if that goal is a little unrealistic when the yokai portal is sealed. He tends to be a little competitive, challenging Leo to a duel as soon as they meet for the first time. He's very sociable and excited to meet new people. He also tends to be a bit of a flirt with girls.History
Ryuji grew up on stories of The Guardian Clans and the Yokai War. But he also heard a lot about his Uncle Yoshi, who had already left for America before he had been born. He was always told about how he was the best fighter the family had seen in years, and Ryuji would often lament about not being able to train with him; much to Isao's disappointment.Relationships
History
As chunin, Isao was tasked with training the next generation in martial arts when they came of age, including his own son. However, Isao was never all that interested in the idea of taking on this role, and by the time Ryuji was of age, the portal had been closed for years, with no sign of ever being reopened. This waned Isao's motivation to train his son, and Ryuji could feel it. Ryuji is frequently disappointed in his father's unwillingness to teach him anything but the basics. Isao insists that the age of the guardian clans died with the portal, and that Ryuji needs to focus on a his studies and getting a real job. There is a significant rift in their relationship caused by this disagreement.

They both watch anime, but Ryuji thinks Naruto is a dumb little kids show, much to Leo's offense.

Ryuji is a bit protective of his baby bro, but admittedly gets annoyed with him a lot, despite understanding he's young and can't help the way he act sometimes. Chikau is very clingy to Ryuiji and will often go to him when he's upset about something and mom and dad are busy.
Commonalities & Shared Interests
Kibo and Ryuji share an interest in learning martial arts and seeing the Yokai Realm. They talk a lot and are pretty close. She looks up to Ryuji, even though he can be a bit of a show off. Even still Kibo is the first to snitch on Ryuji if he is doing something he's not supposed to.
