Green Lantern Corps
Originally from an alternate universe, the Green Lantern Corps was the leading intergalactic law enforcement organization in the reality they are from. Now, they are perhaps the sole survivors of that universe that suffered a catastrophic event that ultimately exterminated all life there.
Now, in this dimension, they struggle to rebuild the Corps and find their place. Working alongside Starfleet as a member organization of the United Federation of Planets, they strive to continue their mission as well as support the Star Fleet ideals.
The Oath
The Oath of the Lantern is a mantra each lantern recites as they charge their ring or recited by recruits when they graduate to become a full Green Lantern. In the past, the oath was often unique to each lantern or was a shared phrase among only a few. However, after the universal collapse and their miraculous survival, the five surviving Green Lanterns decided a change was in order. A new Oath that calls back to the history of the Corps but also blends in the hope of a new home.
In brightest day, in blackest night,
protecting new worlds,
new civilizations, and new life.
To boldly go, by lanterns light.
