iceberries (ICK-lindz)

Iceberries, or iklindz, are sacred berries that grow in the boreal forests of Ikrat. They are very hearty and bloom/grow on the limbs of the pox'ti in the last year of the tree's life.
The warmth from the fires inside the lik'kreas encourage iklindz to grow on the limbs, which help sustain the tirava through the long, COLD MONTHS. Some berries are fermented to make iceberry liquer and some are eaten. When they are done eating the berries, the tirava throw the seeds on the ground, which - after getting stomped into the soil by their giant feet - begin to germinate and will eventually grow to replace the trees cut down during Fire Harvest.
