Poramuga (PORE-ah-moo-gah)

A people group that lived in the ancient floating cities on Poramuga Lake. At their height, the population of the city was over 100,000 people who controlled much of the land surrounding the lake.   During the GREAT DROUGHT, the lake dried up and the cities were left vulnerable to outside forces and structurally unsound on the muddy lake bottom. Most of the citizens moved to the coronal hills around the lake to set up encampments, harvesting materials from the once floating cities.   Over time these encampments became the countries of Lifuapora, Dumu and Tialga and the people groups of the Hyum, Ur'gava and The Wilds respectively.   After centuries the water slowly filled the lake again but no one returned, and most of the old city's decayed buildings stayed on the sea floor.
