Tirava'tira (tee-RAH-va TEER-ah)

The largest forest on the Wulaaser continent, Tirava'tira is said to be where the Tirava originated. Its name translates to "forest of the tree people."   The forest stretches the full length of the border between Laas and Wu from Jentali Bay in the north to the Blue Sea in the south. Due to this barrier it is one of the main reasons the people groups on each continent do not have a larger shared history.   Tirava'tira is believed to be a very dangerous place and not many were willing to risk trespassing it to reach the other side. Therefore ships on the Blue Sea and Jentali Bay (when it is thawed) are used for trade and travel between the two continents.   The tirava that live in the forest in modern day (the Tirava'rkhea), do not interact with others and are rarely seen, even from the edges of the forest.   A sound emanates from the forest that makes many fearful. To most it sounds like a cry, but to some, a song, which they call "tira'mal," the "Song of the Forest." Many think the Tirava'rkhea are howling to each other across vast sections of the forest, communicating in a language no one knows. Some say it is because these forest giants are no more than animals who never evolved, while others tell folktales about how the tirava do it to scare the people.
