The Astral Sea is one of the extra-planar realms that surrounds
Tol. It is commonly thought of as being the plane above Tol. It is manifested as an infinite expanse of silvery waters under twilit skies full of bright stars. Floating in this sea are the domains of the
Gods. It is not easily accessed from Tol, except by powerful magics.
Besides the various astral domains of the gods, one can also find other inhabitants, such as the
Githyanki, who act as pirates on the Astral Sea, and the terrible monsters called
Astral Dreadnought.
