Beholder

A Beholder is an Aberration native to the Far Realm. It appears as a large fleshy orb with a single central eye, as well as ten smaller eyes on flexible eyestalks. Its central eye emits a constant field of anti-magic, and its ten smaller eyes are each capable of projecting a different ray of magical power. Common beholder powers include petrification, domination, fear, disintegration, fire, and a death ray.
Beholders are cruel and domineering, often earning them the moniker “Eye Tyrant”. Many variations exist, including the aquatic “Eye of the Deep”, the lesser five-eyed “Gauth” (for example, Naxarchul), and the Undead Death Tyrant.
