Boucherie

A boucherie traditionally refers to the day when a hog is slaughtered. Since the Halflings of Dalenshire are nomadic and not able to keep many pigs, this was a large event, and a good excuse to collect the clan and have a party. The term has now passed into Dalenshire vernacular as simply a large party, generally involving a lot of food. Spicy sausages, boiled crayfish, thick stews, curious swamp vegetables, and grilled meats are all very common at these events.
