Cassada Fivebraids

Cassada Fivebraids was the daughter of the famous Dwarf hero, Balgon Fivebraids. Her mother, Shaydra Hammersteel, was slain while the dwarves were still in Giantish slavery in Jotunheld. She aided her father in the dwarven exodus under the Frozen Sea. When her father sacrificed himself to stop the giantish pursuit, she continued leading the dwarven nation south. Eventually, she led them into the lands than became Kurdenheim and began the construction of a new dwarven city atop and within Mount Silverhelm. In honor of her father, she named the new city Balgondelve.
Although her father is one of the greatest heroes the dwarves can name, Cassada was not an underachiever. Under her rule as Ur-Thane, the dwarves became prosperous and strong. Although Balgondelve was not completed during her lifetime (and indeed, might never be fully completed, as dwarves continue to excavate and construct both within and outside of the mountains they call home), she was the architect of many of its famous buildings. She was also the designer of the great statue of Balgon that looks north, warning the giants that the dwarves would never be their slaves again.
