Castamir

  Castamir is a port city of Bedourin. Boasting a population largely made up of Bedourani and Genasi, it appears very exotic to western eyes. Often referred to as the Free City of Castamir, there is no king or lord, but a council called the Merchant Princes of Castamir decides affairs of the city. A patrolling guard force called the Hand of the Council keeps the law with harsh precision.

Castamir is well-known for its excellent food-stalls, its bustling harbor, and its grand bazaar of souks. One can find almost anything for sale in the streets of Castamir, and travelers sometimes return from the Desolation of Azmartheon with fabled treasures. It maintains good trade relations with a number of the other coastal Free Cities, as well as several of the city-states of Falwyth and the nation of Minostal.

Although worship of the Gods is somewhat lessened since the time of The Rending, there are still several small shrines maintained by the faithful. Rumor has it that Elemental cults devoted to the Primordials exist as well, hidden just below the civilized veneer of the city’s façade.
