De Vermis Mysteriis

De Vermis Mysteriis (Mysteries of the Worm) is a book of magic, wisdom, and prophecy penned by Kyuss, high priest of Orcus. It is a foul and blasphemous document that depicts Orcus as the true God of death with Oldorin made out to be a usurper. Kyuss filled it with prophecies, such as that of the Visitor, a heavenly body that would come to Tol and usher in an ager of undeath.
Copies of De Vermis Mysteriis have been made, but few command the power and mystery of the original. It is believed that the original was in the possession of the Lich Acererak for a time, but its current whereabouts are unknown.
