Fairy

Fairies, or the Fair Folk as they are sometimes called, are inhabitants of the Feywild. They are a race of Fey creatures with widely varying appearances but similar magical powers. Generally, they are small, around four foot tall, with humanoid features, some of which might be greatly exaggerated and which usually include pointed elfin ears. They may have different skin colorations, diminutive wings, various types of horns, insect-like antennae, and other such features.
All fairies can fly, whether or not they have wings, and they all possess some innate magical abilities, including the ability to pass through even very small spaces. They were named the Fair Folk by the people of Tol long ago, as it was hoped that this kind name would inspire kind behavior. Some are kind, of course, but just as many can be whimsical and capricious. It could be argued that, among all the peoples, Faeries and Humans are the most alike, because no two are exactly alike.
