Io

Io was a Dragon God who was slain during the Dawn War. According to legend, Io was split into two pieces by a Primordial in battle. These two pieces became the gods Bahamut and Tiamat. Some believe that the spark of Io’s divinity is still in existence, waiting to incarnate sometime in the future.
Another legend relating to Io concerns the crystals known as Dragonshards. According to the legend, these crystals are formed from Io’s mind, body, and blood. No dragon has ever confirmed or denied these legends.
