Psionics

The study of the mental powers that have become known in scholarly circles as psionics is not a new one, but it has only come into prominence in the last fifty years or so. When the race called the Kalashtar made the journey from the Far Realm, some believe that they brought the powers of psionics with them. Other believe that psionics is the very taint of the Far Realm and that those who practice psionics are only making that terrible place stronger. Still another school of thought is that psionics, while imbued from the Far Realm, can be used as a potent weapon against the aberrations that hail from there. They feel that using pisonics to combat this menace is essentially fighting fire with fire.
