Tishad

The Tishad are a race of Humans who inhabit the western parts of the continent of Velnar. Although it’s believed that they are the descendants of the oldest strain of humans on Tol, some of their bloodlines have been slowly contaminated by the nearby serpentine race known as the Yuan-Ti. They have olive-colored skin, dark eyes, and thin dark hair.
Tishad cities once dominated western Velnar with soaring ziggurats of stone, vast courtyards, and golden decor. Many of their cities have fallen into decadence, however, and their empire no longer has the strength to refuse the advances of the Yuan-ti. As a result, many pureblood Yuan-ti have powerful positions in Tishad kingdoms, and the Tishad are being converted to the worship of Szathusa. This is being rigorously contested by more traditional religions, such as the ancestor worship of the Tishad daj Ahti and those Tishad who follow The Tinavri.
