The Hakkon Howling

A ritual performed by the rare and allusive Wolffolk. While there is a monthly Howling the Hakkon Howling is performed once a year where a week long gathering is held and is meant to include Wolffolk from all over The Continent .

History

In Wolffolk tale it began many moons ago when the first Wolffolk pack was formed. They recount the tale to explain the origin of their people which began with a werewolf that with the help of some Catfolk, was able to understand it's curse and become something inbetween human and wolf. With the help of the Catfolk the Wolffolk known as Alpha was able to teach other werewolves the trick. 
Once Alpha had passed this knowledge onto other werewolves the first Pack was formed. Not long after the Pack was formed he then sent them off to help other werewolves that had just begun their transformation in the hopes of saving them as well. They then decided to gather when the moon was at it's fullest and this was the beginning of the Hakkon Howling.

Participants

For the Hakkon Howling it is every Pack that is on the landmass. The most important people there isn't the alphas but rather the elders as they pass on generations upon generations of stories onto the new younger "pups"

Observance

At the fullest moon in the year, the moon which appears in the winter month of Hakkon.
