Casterism
Summary
Casterism is the worship of the Sethiri pantheon of gods, known as the Godcasters of Sethir. It is divided into three sects, the churches of Kilric, Endros and Olrad. The religion is most active in west Tor'Saarn, however their are offshoot caster cults across the world, most notably the cults of Olrad in Tierdun.Structure
Each of the three sects is headed directly by the Godcaster themselves, who disseminate information to the masses through their High Priests. These High Priests travel the realms, training the priests who man the temples who in turn pass on these teachings to the masses.Tenets and Faith
Beliefs
The Godcasters are worshipped not as creators as they do not claim to have created the Sethiri, instead their worshippers see them as guardians and teachers. Their roles were defined by their actions in the Sethiri conflicts, when they commonly walked amongst their people. Although many worship the Godcasters exclusively, worship of other gods is not prohibited amongst their followers, and the gods of Sar'aan's Pantheon are often worshipped alongside The Godcasters of Sethir.Tenets
The Tenets of the faith vary between the sects, with Endros being much stricter with his worshippers than his brothers Olrad and Kilric. Kilric Kilric's sect has 3 tenets, all of which are centered around the ideals of Discernment, Mercy and Will. I- Worshippers are required to take all actions with the needed thought and contemplation. II- Worshipers are not to needlessly take lives. III- Worshippers are to be willing to take lives when the need to do so is great. Endros Endros's sect has 5 tenets (which are less vague and more strict than that of most gods), all of which are centered around his ideals of Order, Dominion and Chaos Taming. I- Endros demands his followers act orderly, not giving into random thought. II- Followers of Endros are required to maintain skills in politics and combat. III- Followers are required to familiarize themselves with the laws of Seofare. IV- Followers are required to follow Seofarean law even when outside of Seofare. V- Those who leave Seofare are encouraged to gain information on the societies and governments they encounter to strengthen Seofare. Olrad Olrad's sect has x tenets, all of which are based on his ideals of Self-Reliance, Strength and Skill. I- Maintain a diverse set of basic survival skills. II- Maintain a stern and stoic disposition. III- Spend as much time alone or with only direct family as you would with others.History
Origins
Casterism sees it's origin in the early second age when the Godcasters first walked among the men of the west, at which time the ethnicities of Sethir were already beginning to separate from their Tiorathan ancestors.Remove these ads. Join the Worldbuilders Guild
