Alaz lived in a colony in the marshes, but due to his lethal arrogance, he was exiled. With null else left to live for, his adventurous spirit sought atonement in the coastal mountains near his homeland. He challenged the peaks and ridges that no man, less even a tortle, would dare ascend. If nature took him, so be it; he would be unworthy to live any longer.
The trials of survival humbled his old shell, and the once boisterous tortoise had found inner peace in the windy chaos of the alpine. He learned how to defend himself, and fight against nature's throes with what he had. For decades he had scavenged between tarn and valley, but a tortle's days are numbered fewer than a man's - it was time for something new. The old shell lumbers back towards the beaten path, hoping to share his spiritual journey with another, or embark on one last adventure.

Exiled from his homeland due to his fiery attitude, Alaz challenges the wilds to keep humble. From the highest peaks to the lowest caverns, and across great fields, Alaz has revitalized what it means to live everywhere.
