Balderdash

Balderdash, once the sister city to Balgowaith, now stands as a haven for dwarven culture and society in the northern province, Arnan. The dwarven empire of Balderdash, ruled by a council of dwarves with a golden bloodline, founded its roots in one of the Whistling Range’s most prominent peaks: Az-Hagazul. To the dwarves, it meant something close to “the motherlode”, but with a dark warning of folly’s doom.
Although the rock was rich with every mineral imaginable, pools of magma lay hidden like molten snakes. In order to seek deeper into the mountain, technologies were employed to stem the lava flow and drill deeper. The foundations of a city were sculpted inside nearby mountain bases around Az-Hagazul, and foundries opened to process metals and set gems into some of the most exquisite works of art money could buy in the north.
