Tenhamn
Geography
Tenhamn is a relatively small valley that is home to a temperate forest containing a mysterious ecosystem and otherworldly inhabitants. In the center lies the valley's titular city, raised out of the forest floor on a rocky plateau. The valley is surrounded by high peaks and treacherous rocky passes that lead out into a nameless mesa. Further out still, and the mesa flattens into a hopeless desert.
History
When the Old World collapsed and Toran was new, the angels their servants, the elves, settled in this valley beyond edge of the seas. They built a city of marble inspired by, but only a shadow of, their homeland. Time past, and when the elves grew restless and the angels slackened their rule, the sons and daughters of the divine beings sought the freedom of Toran. The elves moved northwest into Toran, leaving their masters in a city of faded glory and betrayal.
