Cloven Crystals

The Cloven Crystals are the threeseals binding Tromokratis beneath the Calamity Bay. They resemble a glowing blue crystal ball. Tromokratis urges his warlocks to seek them out and destroy them so that he may be eventually released. Those who use a Cloven Crystal may enter into contact with Tromokratis.
Mechanically, the crystals serve as crystal ball allowing those suing them to scry on Tromokratis when touching the crystal. This Scrying cqnnot fail, however, Tromokratis is aware he's scried on and may attempt to communicate or influence bystanders.
There are three Cloven Crystals, each protected by one of the race of the Great Sea Civilization and each sought by the warlocks and servants of Tromokratis so that he may be freed from his prison under the Calamity Bay and again take his place as the ruler of the oceans. To release Tromokratis, the Cloven Crystals must be destroyed.

Desrtorying a Cloven Crystal

The Cloven Crystals, crafted by the inhabitants of the Great Sea civilization and blessed by Jan'ahrem, possess the unique ability to seal Tromokratis. Infused with partial divinity, these crystals exhibit exceptional durability, requiring an act of evil against Jan'ahrem and the sea people to break their magical protection. Once a crystal is exposed to the blood of sea creatures from the great sea civilization or the blood of Jan'ahrem, its magical safeguards dissipate, rendering it vulnerable to destruction by conventional means.

Hsitory

The Sahuagin of Calamity Bay were granted the blessings of Tromokratis. The Kraken protected the Sahuagin on several occasions, massacring the Tritons when they attacked his followers around 400 BD. However, after that Tromokratis demanded that all the allies of the Sahuagin should worship him, which they refused. By then, this had been noticed by the surviving worshipers of Jan'ahrem, who grew jealous, conspiring against the titan and sealing him beneath the depths of the Calamity Bay, and defacing the temples built in his name. Tromokratis is imprisoned under the calamity bay by three seals named Cloven Crystals.
