Crimson Night

History

A small village in Tana's Empire was corrupted by Elise Kythera Zaavan and her fiendish spies, the town serving as a hub for the envious seeking more power in exchange for valuable information. The town twisted by the corruption growing into a bustling little place, even the inhabitants that weren't dealing with the devils were enjoying the situation as the outsiders were trading and bringing new opportunities to the town.
But the fiendish activities grew so much that it brought the attention of the Seekers, a guild of demon and devil tracking experts that have sworn an oath to free the world from those creatures. Their method are often seen as cruel, as they make sure not a single spot of corruption is left behind them, and so during one faithful night they came to the town, their mission requiring them to eliminate any potential threat.
The Seekers arrived at the village, only to discover their detection magic was useless, the corruption was hiding too deeply within the inhabitants to be detected. It is with a heavy heart that Akane Sgail leader of this mission had to order to kill and mutilate every villager to kill any parasitic spider of the archdevil. The various demon hunter running through the village, killing the helpless citizen, their blood flowing on the ground, mixing with the heavy rain during this dark night. The massacre was swift, the seekers were experienced killers, and the villagers, even those who tried to defend themself, were helpless against their sword. Each demon hunter knew it was for the greater good, but the mission took a heavy toll on their morale.
With no survivors, the town was discovered only a few days later, still covered with the dried blood of its past habitants. Soon the rumors started to spread, ad the event was called the crimson night as the neighboring town though the massacre was caused by vampires. Only a few people know of what really happened.
