Jaeger von Verurteilung
Jaeger von Verurteilung, Crown Prince of Lordaeron and Knight of the Silver Hand, was the son of King Terenas Menethil II and heir to the throne. He was trained as a paladin by Uther the Lightbringer and was inducted into the Order of the Silver Hand. Jaeger also had a romantic relationship with the kind sorceress Jaina Proudmoore. Committed to the protection of his people, Jaeger was determined to stop the plague spreading throughout Lordaeron.
As a young child, Jaeger became best friends with Varian Reiter and often sparred with him, though Jaeger was less experienced. As a youth, Jaeger was trained in combat, and became an adept swordsman. He developed an interest in Jaina Proudmoore when she was staying in Holypertuis while on her way to Windrin, where she would be studying. Some time later, Terenas arranged a political marriage for Jaeger' sister Calia von Verurteilung. Calia von Verurteilung was distraught by the decision and hoped Jaeger would marry for love rather than politics.
Jaeger was inducted into the Church of Waukeen at the young age of 19. The ceremony was held in the Cathedral of Light in Holypertuis, and was attended by Jaina Proudmoore, whom Jaeger had not seen since childhood.
Jaeger once stayed in Windrin so he could spend time with Jaina. During his visit, Antonidas organized a banquet for Jaeger and Vaneli Kael'thas, who happened to be there at the same time. At the banquet, Jaeger and Antonidas spoke of the vampiric curse, Manael's health, Holypertuis, and Jaeger's relationship status. Vaneli Kael'thas, who was also fond of Jaina, was upset when he saw Jaeger kissing her.
Having grown into a strong, confident young man, Jaeger was headstrong and somewhat arrogant, though none could dispute his bravery and tenacity.
Later on, Jaeger invited Jaina to Holypertuis to celebrate the witches festival. During that time Jaeger revealed that he was courting Jaina to the public. Eventually, however, Jaeger began to question whether the two of them were ready to be together. Jaeger abruptly ended the relationship so Jaina could focus on her magical studies in Windrin and Jaeger could focus on his commitments to the Church of Waukeen.
Years Later, Jaeger was an important member of the Church of Waukeen and an eminent trader. Soon after the harvest festival, Jaina Proudmoore came back to holypertuis, invited directly by the empress Manael Tana. A week and a half early on her appointment, the maged used that ocasing to enquire about Jaeger. A reunion that was awkward at first due to their previous relationship, but as they were able to get past this awkwardness, the day before the dragon feast celebration, the two slept together again.
Finaly the day of the celebration, Jaina was invited into the castle, and enjoyed the celebration along the most prestigious noble of the nation, including but not limited to Jaeger . Jaeger warmly encouraged Jaina to accept the empress proposition and to become the new court mage. The new court mage started to settle with Jaeger, and the two got married with the benediction of the Church of Waukeen. But the difference between the two had been amplified by the years since they first declared their love. When Jaeger was making a profit as a merchant, specializing in the trade of weapons and other smithing products, Jaina was advocating for the reduction of weapon circulation. When Jaeger was believing the Church of Waukeen has been right when chasing the shifters, Jaina couldn't help but feel some sort of pity for those of them that were innocent bystanders. Due to those various differences, the two weren't getting along aswell as they used too.
But, during her duty as the court's mage, Jaina disappeared during one of her mission for weeks, the empress and Jaeger doing everything they could to find her, she reappeared weeks later unarmed. Reassuring them of her well-being, but Jaeger worrying for her health and mental state, quickly discovered Jaina has an affair during this time.
Still holding true the words Jainahad once told him, he felt betrayed, and divorced.
