Maria Cainhurst
Maria is a Commander knight of the Seekers, but is inactive since an incident where she had to partake in the hunting of villagers for a greater good.
At some point during her time as a Seeker, Maria partook in a mission against hosts of parasites from the Parasite Monarch. Lead by Akane Sgail, the mission goal was to exterminate any prasite, and their host, from a small village.
The Seekers arrived at the village, only to discover their detection magic was useless, the parasites were hiding too deeply within their host to be detected. Akane Sgail ordered to kill and mutilate every villager to kill any parasites. The various demon hunter running through the village, killing the helpless citizen, their blood flowing on the ground, mixing with the heavy rain during this dark night.
The massacre was swift, the Seekers were experienced killers, and the villagers, even those who tried to defend themself, were helpless against their sword. Each demon hunter knew it was for the greater good, but the mission would take its toll on Maria's morals, as she, alongside the other seekers, had participated in the hunting and mutilation of the villagers, as they were potential hosts.
