Rosa Wildspeaker
Aglaïs was a dryad from the Wood of the Vale, who had healing powers.
History
Rosa was born in a poor elven family, but years before, her father had promised her to the dryads, as their recompenses for their help. The dryads came back and took their reward, Rosa, when she was barely a few months old. Her older sister, Tanglewood, unaware of her father's deal, rushed to try and rescue the baby she believed to be kidnapped by the dryads alongside her mother, Lila Wildspeaker. Soon, the two reached the forest, exhausted from this long marathon, the two elves were determined to bring back the baby. Sadly, their hopes were quickly shattered with the arrow of the dryads. Legend says none enter the Wood of the Vale without the dryads knowing, it seems like this day again, the legend was true. The group of dryads, and the baby were facing them, ready to fight. Tanglewood started to speak, telling the dryad all about her cruel father, about the fate of this child, and her mother's love for Rosa. But the dryad told her the truth about her father's deal. Realizing the drayds were in their right mind, and with the terrible living condition of her family, Tanglewood allowed her little sister to become one of them, a dryad. She only asked for her mother and herself to be able to see Rosa grow. The dryad, sensible to her gift for druidic power, knew the elf was soon to be a protector of those lands and trusted her to take the correct decision, agreeing to those conditions. Tanglewood and Lila embraced the baby one last time, drowing it in their love. From an early age, when she was just a grub crawling among the trees, she showed an innate talent for healing, even among dryads. This was why Lady Eithné never compelled her to take up arms; never forced Rosa to break her vow of pacifism—not even during times of war. The healer loathed the thought of killing. She accepted death as the natural end of all living things, but rejected the possibility that she could ever inflict it upon others. And so she never did. Tanglewood Wildspeaker and Lila Wildspeaker often coming to see her, as Rosa grew to become the chief healer thanks to her gift.As a dryad
Aglaïs was the chief healer in the Col Serrai, the famous hot spring basin. The superior healer of Col Serrai was well known for her taciturnity. The reason for this was quite simple: Aglaïs had never seen anybody heal faster due to idle chatter. So she chose her words carefully and talked only when the situation required it. When she didn't have to waste her breath—she didn't. In addition to the forces of nature, the chief healer used forest water and curative rhizomes—most prominently, the famous combination of conynhael and knitbone. But the key to healing the most grievous of wounds lay with the extraordinary skill of the dryad herself. Amazingly, contrary to popular belief about dryads and their kin, Aglaïs saw no difference between treating humans and non-humans alike. If someone was sick or injured, regardless of who or what they were, she would do whatever she could to make them whole again.Family tree
