Sqriewk

Sqriewk, is named after the sound of the metal that bends after a heavy blow, the armor that breaks before the death of those wearing it. He is a Kenku knight, who fought in the War of the 3 nations, he is one of the rare kenku who used to fly, and who deeply regret the removal of this ability by the curse.   Now nothing but a blind bird and a homeless one, his life took a turn after the war, blinded, he could only beg for charity, something that was not given to "the traitors", the birds of his kind. Incredibly hold, some may say he is blessed, but to him, it seems like a curse, as even death refuses him.

History

At the age of 8, the War of the 3 nations started, and Sqriewk had to fight for what he believed to be right. Young and easy to influence, he was a puppet for older kenku, as committed unspeakable terror, killing innocents, families, and children. Those who survived cursed him and vowed vengeance against the young kenku.   With the kenkku betrayal, the war took a new turn, and Sqriewk's faction started to win. During one faithful battle, the young Sqriewk was ambushed, a group of Jerbeen recognized the knight, and sought to destroy him. The furious mouse-folk blinded the knight, and plucked his feather, torturing him in the middle of the battlefield.   Sqriewk was saved by his comrades, but his opponent, in their dying breath, cursed him to never now a peaceful death. A curse that was added on top of the curse inherited by his kind for their betrayal of their Archfey. Useless to the war effort without his sight, Sqriewk was doing attendance helping the troops.   After the war, no one wanted a blind bird by their side to work with, and even less one of those who betrayed their archfey. Falling in despair, the kenku became a beggar on the streets of Humble Town, a life of misery and pain that would last long due to his curse.
