Vixin Hart

One day, all of this will be under the rule of the Orrin Empire—a glorious realm led by a fitting Empress.
— Vixin Hart
In the Orrin Empire, Vixin plots her own ruthless path to the high seat of the empire. Second in line to succeed her father, the renowned Blood Emperor, she faces those who stand in her way with brash confidence and unprecedented mastery over Magic. With the land itself obeying her every command, Vixin sees herself as the greatest sorceress in the history of the Orrin Empire—and by that right, deserving not only of her position as a sage but of the entire empire itself.

Characteristics

Mental traits

Even though she did not possess the skill to back it up yet, Vixin was a proud and arrogant woman who brags often and loudly for all to hear about her prowess with elemental magic, her ostentatious nature reflected even in her choice of attire. She thinks very highly of herself and is fully convinced she deserves the throne regardless of her place in the line of succession.   Vixin is extremely competitive, proactive, and determined. When challenged by her older sister Cendra to ritual combat, Vixin displayed a ruthless side by not only rising to the challenge but crippling her sister in the fight to assert how seriously she takes her desire to rise to the top and ultimately become Empress.

History

The youngest child in a ruling family, Vixin grew up believing she would never inherit the high seat of the Orrin Empire. As her parents governed the empire, they raised their children to succeed them, schooling them in the proud traditions of their nation. Primed to rule before her, Vixin’s older sisters received most of the attention, and she often longed to find her own meaningful place in the family.   That place became clear the day young Vixin began to learn the magic inherited through her father's blood, a rare gift before the Nexus Overflow. Soon after she took up lessons, she realized she was blessed with extraordinary talent with the power of her father, unlike her sisters. Though Vixin was only seven years old, she mastered advanced techniques within weeks, while her older sister had yet to grasp the basics after years of study.   Vixin surpassed her sister in the elemental arts, and the more she progressed, the more resentful she became. Why did her parents waste so much effort grooming her inferior siblings? It wasn’t long before Cendra, the immediate successor, became the target for Vixin’s aggression.   Rather than defusing the conflict, Cendra bristled at the disrespect from her sister, who was her junior. As both grew older, their words became increasingly heated, culminating in physical threats from Cendra, and a challenge from Vixin: they should decide who was strongest in combat—and for the right to succeed their parents. Cendra accepted the challenge to teach her sister some much-needed humility.   When the contest was over, Cendra was injured, while Vixin stood unscathed.   She was eager to take her place as the rightful heir, but Vixin’s parents were furious at her actions. They denied her the prize. Though the news was bitter, Vixin soon discovered that the duel had made her elemental prowess known across all of the empire. At last, she had found what had long eluded her: respect.   That respect quickly became an addiction. Vixin felt a burning need to be recognized for her exceptional skill. In fact, all of the empire should stand proud with her, and put the world in its place thanks to her powerful magic.   Acting against their will, Vixin raided the neighboring Kingdom of Eldrida, crippling her enemies so that they could spread her message—he would tell everyone in his kingdom about the grand sorceress who destroyed outpost.   In the empire, Vixin gladly took credit for the slaughter, infuriating her mother. Her father, proud of her action, decided to give her daughter a position of power. Recognizing the prowess of her power, he named her head of the sages, the council of rare spellcasters in the empire. In this role, she is responsible for maintaining order within the realm and handling international diplomacy.
