Llorbauth

The City That Never Shines

Llorbauth, also known as The City That Never Shines, is the capital of the kingdom of Erlkazar in the Lands of Intrigue.
Baseline information in regards to Llorbauth can be found here.
Modifications to the actual lore include:   Since as long as anyone can remember:
  • It is always either rainy or cloudy in Llorbauth.
  • The architectural style of the city is victorian, which, according to scholars, could be traced back to the early 400s after the Great War. During that time period, an elven architect named Fabelle Victoria would have supposedly created this style of construction ''on a whim''.
  •   1300s after the Great War:
  • The city's population is ravaged by the works of a vampiress, which is later revealed to be named Saestra Karanok, the daughter of the ruler of Luthcheq . In a book titled ''Of Vampires and Men'', written by Gallagher St-Vincent in 1314, Saestra is described as ''a volatile and treacherous monster hiding her insatiable hunger behind a veil of sweet innocence''. He mentions that, upon the discovery of his daughter being a vampire in 1309, her father, King Brumyörd, threw himself off the highest tower of his keep. After these events, the massacres in Llorbauth stopped and life returned to normal. Saestra Karanok was never found again.
  •   1328 after the Great War:
  • The Order of Vampyrers opens up. Their members specialize in the hunting and slaying of vampires. Paradoxically, this seems to attract more vampires to the area.
  • Type
    Large city
