Nilarei (Nee-la-reï)

Where the forest meets the sea

The elven village of Nilarei is a town located on the southern coast of Vesperin, partly encroached by the Gray Forest. The small village has a history of persecution from the pirates that lasted ever since the early 1200s after the Great War. The inhabitants of the town still cling to their traditions as fervent followers of the goddess of nature.

1444 after the Great War:

The Corsair's Decree is signed in Vesperin, banning piracy and launching a violent storm of attacks from the government against the pirate ships that had been plaguing the country for the last decades. Sadly, the geographical constraints around Nilarei make it a little harder for it to be protected. There are, overall, a rapidly declining number of assaults against the small village, but they still happen every once in a while.
