Leaving the Noble Life
Seeking the riches in the newly discovered land of Chult, the Drallion family began liquidating their assets in hopes of relocating. They sold off land, businesses, their ancestral home, and even their noble titles. The Drallion family trade fleet was one of the largest and most prosperous of its kind, with hundreds of ships under their banner dodging storms, pirate raids, and aquatic monsters to carry goods across the world. The crown jewel of their fleet and a pair of escort ships were all they retained. The entire family was to set sail with their entire fortune changed into gold bars and bank promissory notes which were to redeemed upon their arrival in the last port of civilization before their trek into the Jungles of Chult Calimport. However, the family never made it to Calimport. The day the family was set to leave the city was greeted with much fanfare on the docks as large crowds were set to gather and watch the Emperor of the waves (a true marvel of naval engineering of massive size) set sail. All the family was aboard along with their extensive crew and small army worth of servents, staff, and guards fast asleep when the Mt. Hotenow erupted. Everyone that is except for the two sons. Aubreck and his older brother, Illenn Drallion, had snuck off in the night from the family home to the Slaughterhouse fighting pits for one last adventure in the Beggars Nest. The eruption sent the city into chaos as ash and smoke choked the air, The Chasm ripped open long-dormant pockets of Spellplague energy, and with it came aberrations from the deep. In the ensuing panic, the ships set sail in the dead of night by the light of the burning city, never to be seen again. The merchant prince, Aubreck Drallion, once counted himself among the richest folk of Neverwinter, now he and his brother were very alone and copperless.In the Shadow of Old Neverwinter
The Drallion boys, Aubreck and his older brother Illenn Drallion, were forced to abandon the lives they had lived and the lives the had planned. Instead of luxury and prosperity, they were forced to make a life for themselves in the ruins of the once-great city. Long before Dagult Neverember arrived and brought with him merchants and trade, the Drallion boys pulled themselves up by their bootstraps building a modest life for themselves. They set about recreating their family's trade business but were thwarted by Mordai Vell and his family at every turn. Illenn eventually passed away in the home the two shared at the age of 76, Aubreck now nearly 60 clings to the remnants of the business they built. For the past 7 years, Aubreck has obsessed over the idea of finding The Emperor of the Waves and his family's lost fortune.Mental characteristics
