Session Recap
General Summary
While the party was continuing to go through making acquaintances with Vapor, they decided to call the attention of the wandering Runic Flesh Golem with a loud ring of Kalbrin's shield. The strike also informed another individual in the forest of their location allowing the newest party member to join; Ignia. The small kobold came through the corrupt-dead trees and found the group as they were preparing for a fight.
The golem found the party and began its assault and the Guardians returned fire. This golem had a new rune upon its chest that the group had yet to see, a rune that seemed to absorb damage and fire back an explosion of energy in a blast or bolt that delivered the Corruption Virus via magical energy. The drunken monk, Bumble was dropped because of the triggering of these attacks. The party also learned with the aid of Zero and Blovik that fire actually can heal and invigorate the golem's powers to stronger levels. In the end, one of Zero's skeletons fired the killing shot that destroyed the golem, causing its body to disintegrate into corrupted wood ash and fall away.
Once the party finished the battle, Vapor noticed the undead of Zero's and immediately killed them without hesitation. Her upbringing with the Ashari have led her to destroy any undead she sees, regardless of their purpose. This led Zero to storm off in frustration and also consult the entity in his tome that he created a pact with. He wanted to sever the contract between them and for him to gain his full wizard power back and no longer be a warlock.
Upon returning to the ShipFaced, Zero continued his discussion with the entity while the party continued to get to know Ignia and update her on what they know. Ignia, being apart of the Fire Ashari, has some researched knowledge about what is going on but deciuded she needed to get out there and investigate it further herself. The group accepted her aid in the group as they now had a more dedicated druid and member of the Ashari in their ranks. Zero however did not get so luckily as the entity used clever wording and convinced him to agree to removing a "curse" from Falan Elwind. Zero, thinking he was helping the party, didn't realize that he granted permission for a part of Meadow to be stolen and bottled into some kind of prison and teleported away, an event that only Falan witnessed.
After the event, the party agreed to consult the Sun Tree with Vapor doing a Tree Walk to him before moving further after what happened to Meadow but their ire has turned once again to Zero, whose decisions raise concern amongst the party of his trustworthiness.
