Session 109: The End Report

Session 109 – Wednesday May the 18th, 2022 – The End

Goals:

~~Gather the other parts of the god Destroyer sword (Blade, Hilt and guard)~~
Destroy the Amber Sarcophagi with the god Destroyer sword
Take the sword to the Summer Queen and have her destroy it.

The Empyrean fight goes on.

The Empyrean hit Anna with his mace, but she avoided being stunned. Rolen took out one of the powerful splash healing potions and healed himself. Rolen purposely fell off the broom and fell towards the Planetar with the God Destroyer sword in hand. With the sword and smite spells, he heavily bloodied the Planetar. Tyrena, as a dragon, used her reaction to catch the falling Rolen. The bloodied Planetar, cast insect swarm on the entire party. Lucky waited for Al to fly up and he then blasted the Planetar with eldritch blast and destroyed it. Al then landed on top Tyrena the dragon. The Empyrean came down 50’ towards the party (all on the dragon.) Tyrena the dragon dashed up towards the Empyrean.

Anna noticed three bright gems on the Empyreans bracer. She punched at the Empyrean, hitting it once and then using an action surge cast dispel magic on the bracelet. The dispel magic had no effect. The Empyrean again went down another 50 feet towards the party and cast fire storm on the party. Anna however, cast Counterspell, saving the party from a fiery death. Tyrena the Dragon got her dragon breath back, flew 80 feet higher, and a bolt of lightning was shot at the Empyrean. The Empyrean used one of the gems in his bracelet to avoid some of the damage.

The gods smile upon the OoH and the battle turns

The Empyrean tried to hit Anna but missed. Jaquette cast firestorm on the Empyrean and a 2nd gem disappeared as the Empyrean avoided some of the damage. 80 feet away from the Empyrean, Rolen pulled a star off his robe and cast magic missiles at the Empyrean and then splashed another potion on himself. The Empyrean swung again at Anna again but missed. Lucky struck the Empyrean with one of his stars and 4 eldritch blasts, bloodying the Empyrean. The Empyrean hit Lucky with a bolt of acid. Al dropped concentration on himself and cast Eldritch blast at the Empyrean severely wounding him.

The Empyrean, horribly wounded, was about to teleport away but Tyrena the dragon was able to regain her lighting breath and was able to strike first. The Bronze dragon stretched out its neck, you could see the lighting building up in the neck making bones visible from the light on the inside. She let out a Godzilla-like screech as the lighting flew from her mouth. The Empyrean used the last of the gems in his bracelet to aovid the damage, but it wasn’t enough. The lighting blast was unusually powerful, it cracked through the sky blinding the party momentarily. As the party regained their vision, they saw the Empyrean with a smoldering ash on its neck where its head once was, and it fell to the ground 400 feet below. Anna too fell to the ground, but she landed with grace.

The completion of their goals

Lucky kept up his concentration on the true polymorph spell, permanently turning Tyrena into an Ancient Brass Dragon. Satisfied, with what they had accomplished the party continued their discussions with the Dwarves about the building of their keep. After, they set off to accomplish their own individual tasks and agreed to meet in 1 year.
