Session 8: Won't trust Granny Report

General Summary

The party settled into the tavern after the events of the arena. Edgeathor departs from the group, having spied his tutor and father figure; Tarloss. The party make their way toward the tavern. They see Recoome drinking in his Leotard and also notice a group of individuals passing out bounty posters for Unit 14. Avoiding the confrontation the party settled in for the night in the royal oak.
1st Thyrdas Frostfall: They set out starting their day by visiting the library and collecting a variety of books for the personal growth and to understand what foes may lay ahead. As midday rolled around they made their way to the castle for the feast whilst also stopping along the way to help a poor, homeless veteran bring a delivery to his Grandma. During the feast the party interacted with many nobles and visiting factions. Maggie alluded to the possibility of a Warforged being in Burgeville to Levnato who surmised they would bomb the village to solve the problem. As the party take their leave concerned over what they may have caused an international incident. They meet a new companion Leela, she promptly joins the party and makes fast friends with the group before they are all called in for lunch. It is discovered after eating that the food is poisoned. The party make some accusations against the Archadian Empire, The Church of the Seven and The Order of Sol. Afterwards Aldus takes control of the situation dismisses the guests in attendance to conduct an investigation.
The party made their way to visit the Granny of the veteran, upon seeing the conditions that she lived in, the party (Maggie) decided to spend the evening with the granny to make her last moments special before Maggie cast a spell slowly and peacefully ending her life. On the way back to Oakwarley, the party spied a group of rare snakes called Moon Snakes. Maggie hunger of Hadar'd them and the group killing them to make clothing, handing one to Leela. The party made their way further down the road and met a merchant who was blocked on the road due to a fallen tree. During the night, Maggie and Leela remained on watch while the party rested. They saw through the woods a monstrous creature in the dark with glowing red eyes, it was engaged with briefly by the party which led to it letting out a screech before the engagement subsided. A group of Gnolls then made their way into the woods and attacked the party. once the raiding party was subdued the party felt the effects of the Midnight poison from the food and despite a close encounter. Brandon Stephens and Maggie Cragbreeze were saved by their party.
1st Feortha Frostfall Waking up in the morning the party purchased new clothes from the merchant and after a brief back and forth, they agreed to help him for their money back and Brandon then spent aa few hours Firebolting the trees. The party then met up with the convoy for Kevin Chisel and guided them to the Gnoll camp and collected the stone and Marble upon finding the camp wass abandoned. Returning to town the party collected their rewards and set off to the castle to speak to Aldus about the princess and also to warn them about the Archadia incident. The party inform Aldus and he requests they subdue a group of rogues in the slums of Oakwarley, Aldus also beseeches the party to meet with an Archadian scientist in the tower. Dr. Stein revelas himself as the father of Unit 14, and informs him of his true name H.E.R.B.I.E, he offers to patch him up if they collect some minerals from the mountains of the Divide. They agree and set out to completing their tasks first along the way rescuing a drag queen from the clutches of children disturbing him during his shit in a portaloo. After Maggie has some shit dumped on her she interrogates her assailant to find the whereabouts of the rogues doing so successfully they confront them at their lair and with payment the rogues agree to end their actions temporarily. The situation resolved the party settle in for another night.
1st Chircheday Frostfall
The party make their way out of the western gate of Oakwarley finally on their way to the Divide, as they leave the gate they welcome Cidolfus into their group as he also makes for the divide. A quarter of the way there, the party is ambushed by a group of bandits who crush the carriage the horses are pulling. after a firce combat the party is victorious but the warforged H.E.R.B.I.E has gone down

Edgeathor solo session

Edgeathor assists Tarloss in setting up their organisations involvement in the world of Duel Monsters, managing to catch an Owl Bear and Lion. His mission complete he clashes with Recoome before heading out to rescue his party
