The Jump Sync Communications Network (JSCN) is an automated system used by the GCE to ensure that communications with its systems are current. The basis of teh system is: every 24 hours, a ship will jump from Capitol System to each of the toher systems, and each controlled system will send a ship back to Capitol System. This ensures that comms with Capitol Ssytem are always synced to within 8 days-7 days for the jump, and 1 day between launches. There is not a inconsiderable fuel cost to maintain this constant jumping of ships, and several dozen pilots are needed in this program, since they spend the vast majority of their time in jump space. But it does ensure that the GCE is well synced with communications.
